Happiness

Before I begin another day of writing, let me ask a question...

Is it possible for happiness to trick you? Can a person spend their whole life thinking that they were happy, only to find out later on that every example of their so-called "happiness" was actually a series of self inflicted deceptions?

Can we desire happiness and stability so much, that we subconsciously convince ourselves that we're happy, even when we're not?

And if that's possible, can this false happiness ever be considered real happiness?
